According to the study, which was released in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior, about 84 percent of people have had sex outside of a committed relationship eventually in their lives. The study was based upon a survey of more than 24,000 people from 33 countries. It discovered that, regardless of culture, gender, or age, people tend to have sex beyond dedicated relationships at some time in their lives.
